The hunt to find the UK’s Pet Hero is almost over. Tia, the cuddly kitten from Settle, North Yorkshire could be crowned champ after being announced as the North East’s regional winner earlier this month.
Celebrating pet heroes from all walks of life, the campaign - run by PetSafe® pet product expert - has been inundated with heart-warming stories from all over the North East, proving that the UK’s pets really are the unsung heroes of the nation.
At just four weeks old, Tia, brought happiness into the life of her subdued and depressed canine friend, Bonnie, who was pining the loss of another feline. Little rescue cat Tia, who survived four days without food or shelter, brought Bonnie back to her former self through love and friendship - the two are now inseparable.
Commenting on Tia’s win, her owner Aimiee Louise says: “They make my heart melt everyday. Bonnie has finally got back the friendship she had and craved. I’m delighted that Tia is in the running to win the Pet Hero title”
PetSafe spokesperson Angela Critchley adds: “It is great to raise awareness about the amazing things our pets do for us on a daily basis. It was extremely hard to choose from all the heart warming stories we had in, but in the end Tia’s tale truly touched us. Choosing a national winner from the four shortlisted will be a very difficult decision indeed, we wish Tia the best of luck.”
The national winner will be announced on the 1st December and will win a year’s worth of PetSafe pet products and pet-friendly holiday courtesy of Sykes Cottages.
