Our modern lifestyles have impacted our dogs and cats. Many pets show some signs of obesity. In order to prevent and control obesity, it is advisable to ration your pet's portions and provide him with some form of physical activity. Interactive feeding toys including Busy Buddy and SlimCat will do just that. They help your pet fight obesity and maintain a healthy weight by encouraging him to work for his food and by rationing his food.

Use your imagination! You'll find you can stuff and smear all sorts of food and treats into the Busy Buddy toys. We recommend that you watch your dog when he plays with the Busy Buddy toy and inspect toys after play sessions to check for wear and tear.

• Smear the Twist ‘n Treat™ with cream cheese, peanut butter, spreadable cheese or liver paste.
• Plug the small suction hole in the Squirrel Dude with peanut butter or freeze chicken broth for an extra special treat.
• Load the Chuckle™, Squirrel Dude™ or Waggle™ with hard biscuits for an extra special treat.
• Put a carrot in the Biscuit Block™ for a healthy way to treat your pet.
• Pour your pet’s regular kibble into the Tug-a-Jug™ and make your dog work for his dinner!

The majority of our Busy Buddy toys are made of natural rubber. The Bouncy Bone also features durable nylon for the bone ends. The jug of the Tug-a-Jug consists of hard plastic that is able to withstand vigorous playing. The Pogo Plush toys are made of a soft plush material with a rubber inner bouncy frame and a free-floating squeaker.

The Chew Meter, or Chew Strength, was determined based on field testing. We tested a variety of extreme chewers to determine how well the toys stood up under vigorous chewing. If our most spirited and strongest chewers damaged the toy, we gave the toy a medium strength assessment. If the toy stood up under hearty chewing, it was given a hard strength assessment.

Due to the vast diversity of size, weight, strength, age and activity level of dogs, there is no formula that can be used to calculate precise strength levels. The Chew Meter is not breed specific; it's based on power and force of the individual dog's chewing style.

Our strongest toys are the Bouncy Bone™ and the Squirrel Dude. Monitor your dog when he plays with the toy and check it frequently for wear and tear.

The Treat Meter consists of inward facing, soft, adjustable rubber prongs that control the flow of treat dispersal on Busy Buddy toys. The flexible prongs move aside to allow treats or kibble to be stuffed inside the toy. As the dog plays, treats randomly fall through the opening. The prongs can be trimmed with scissors or nail clippers to increase the flow of treats. The Treat Meter is found in our Chuckle™, Squirrel Dude™, Waggle™, Kibble Nibble™, and Barnacle™ toys and also on the Busy Buddy Puppy Waggle and Puppy Squirrel Dude. The Funkitty Egg-cersizer also has a Treat Meter.

Our Treat Trapper™ firmly grips a variety of treats, gradually releasing them as your dog chews. The Biscuit Block and Biscuit Bouncer feature the Treat Trapper. Put a dog biscuit or rawhide in the Treat Trapper and watch your dog chew.

While we strive to make our toys are durable as possible, we realise that no toy is truly indestructible and some dogs may destroy our toys. If you purchased the correct size for your dog and your dog destroyed the toy such that you are not satisfied with the product, we will happily provide you a one- time replacement for that toy within the first year of purchase (proof of purchase required). We will either provide the same toy to try again or an alternate toy to see if it works better.

We do not offer replacements beyond the first time replacement unless you have a defective product. If you believe the toy you've purchased is defective, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will work with you to replace the toy. • Veterinarians recommend you supervise your pet while playing with laser toys.
• Start in Manual Mode to observe your pet's reactions to the new toy.
• Always use toys in accordance with the instructions in the user manual.
• Provide tangible rewards such as treats and affection during play with lasers.
• If your pet becomes frustrated, discontinue use and give your pet a physical toy as a reward.

All of our laser toys use low-level lasers. BOLT™ operates with 4 AA batteries. DART™, DART DUO™, Multi-Laser and POUNCE™ operate with 3 AA batteries. 

The laser occasionally stops during the play mode for a few seconds. This allows your pet to “catch” the laser before it starts moving again.

• Open the toy by turning and releasing the compartment lid.
• Fill the toy with fresh dry cat food of your choice. Keep one piece of dry food to help you adjust the quantity of food released from the outside.
• Adjust the hole size to allow one piece of food to pass through easily.
• To help your cat understand the toy, it is better to allow for more food to be released initially. When your cat is playing with the toy, observe the amount of food released and reduce the hole size if necessary.
• If your cat is obese, we highly recommend that food only be made available to your cat through the toy to encourage faster weight loss.
